Discover Our Story

We originally come from Austria, and our work as doctors in a public hospital in Cape Town gave us the opportunity to truly immerse ourselves in the city and connect with its people. What began as a professional chapter gradually turned into something far more personal.

Over the years, our growing love for Cape Town – combined with our passion for windsurfing and kitesurfing – kept drawing us back. Sunset Beach, with its endless shoreline and direct view of Table Mountain, quickly became the place where everything came together for us.

Creating this house was the realization of a long-held dream. Built in 2024, the house was designed by Arch. DI Paula Bézard, one of Austria’s leading architects, and realized in close collaboration with an excellent local building team. Our aim was to combine Austrian building standards with the relaxed coastal character of South Africa.

The result is a beautifully designed home in the first row on the beach, directly at the surf spot, with uninterrupted views of Table Mountain. The house features high-quality construction, solar energy and underfloor heating, and is furnished with carefully selected designer furniture, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

As a family, it was important to us to create more than a purely functional accommodation for water sports. We wanted a home that works just as well for surfers as it does for partners, families or anyone who values space, comfort and aesthetics.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have created a place where our guests can experience the same beauty, quality and sense of ease that Cape Town has given us over the years.
